There were several shots that were very very creative, the sort that would only work in old movies; think the camera tilt view of Dev when Alicia wakes up, or the blurred figures when she's sick towards the end. It made me think about how fundamentally different it must have been to make movies back then, with a completely different set of visual storytelling tools. I really appreciate the way Hitchcock used shadows; the first time we're introduced to Dev, he's shrouded in mystery, and that makes him 10x sexier. I felt like the storyline wasn't very compelling, and not much was happening, despite there not being a distinct lull. Alicia's styling was so beautiful. I still got bored though.
