★★½: Drive by Nicolas Winding Refn

Surprisingly I enjoyed the silence because I don't care what white people have to say anyway. Ryan Gosling took this absolute empty shell of a character and made him pretty watchable. He carried the entire thing.

Thought the soundtrack was horrible then realized it was made in 2011, reconsidered, but no, it's still pretty bad. Honestly didn't connect or care about any of the characters; the writing is so subpar. Irene exists to give meaning to Driver's character, and Laura Mulvey would not approve so therefore neither do I.
